Volvo (Polestar)

Volvo's design-focused electric performance car brand, Polestar, wanted to use their U.S. market launch as an opportunity to reimagine ways more people could trust electric vehicles (EVs) as a way to personally benefit society. We gathered academics, Forbes 30 Under 30 Listmakers, product leaders, and more to participate in our design thinking process that resulted in fresh new perspectives and an exciting new way forward.

Project overview

Polestar, the electric vehicle (EV) company jointly owned by Vovlo and Geely, approached Forbes Ignite to unite influential potential buyers around the US launch of their product while collecting valuable insights from them on reimagining the EV experience.

Project approach

We assembled Forbes 30 Under 30 listmakers from the worlds of business, technology, non-profit and the arts and put them together in a series of working sessions with EV investors, entrepreneurs and C-level leaders from unlikely industry partners. Through these intimate design thinking workshops, participants created breakthrough ideas to rethink how the driving experience will be different during the slow transition to autonomy, and the kinds of tools and infrastructure that will make it a reality. The experts were also invited to experience the Polestar vehicle and contributed to video content that supported the launch. We also identified key competitive advantages that could differentiate Polestar in a competitive, new marketplace.
